Hi. Long story short- I got ill.  So did our backyard.  There was this rose bush that grew up from nothing, literally- and bloomed the most beautiful flower I have ever seen.  I called it my hope rose because this flower grew in sand.  I have no idea how it grew.  It never got watered, as a matter of fact- i thought it was a weed at first.  Anywho- someone stole my "hope rose" the very same night I took these photos of it  Cry
Photos can be found here:

Thanks for looking Smiley

It's a lovely rose-and how despicable someone stole it. My garden has gone to pot this year due to a family members illness.I know what it's like not to have the time or energy to garden. You have my sympathy.Hang in there! A photo might be nice as a cover to a journal, framed,or just stuck on the fridge,to remember the hope it brought.I believe it was sent to you as a gift when you needed it.And the thief has been given a swift mental kick in the butt from me!
Have you thought about maybe getting a miniature rose to keep inside in a sunny window? Not the same,I know.Good luck.

That's a beautiful rose. How sad that someone would steal it though. Sad(

hi. thanks for your kind words.  i am sure that someone in the apartment complex behind me saw me taking pictures and decided it would be pretty to give to someone.
i thought about blowing the first and last photos up to a 9 1/2 x 11 inch size and putting them in a nice frame above my bed.
and making a journal with the photo is a lovely idea. and i plan on doing that as soon as i have the supplies Smiley
