Ok, I crocheted a checkerboard. I Made the bag in the pattern long so I could use it for the bag itself and then i free-handed a small bag for the checkers to go in.I'm very proud of how it turned out. Much better than i originally thought it would. I'd like to sell it but I think I have too much emotional attachment to it right now.

Here's the setin all its glory.  Smiley

And here is everything all bagged up. I didn't do the normal drwastring where you draw from both sides because I wanted to be able to loop them together or around the handles of another bag and make it easy to carry them.

See! They can be attached to each other.

Here's a top view of the opened bag of checkers.

And here are the checkers!

Here's a closeupof the checkers. Its a little fuzzy, but if you look you can see where on one side you can see the center ring looks seperate and the other side looks sorta flat so yes, you can king them when you play!

This is a side view of the bag for the checkers. My bff (did I just say bff? I think I did. somebody needs to shoot me now). anyway, she saw me making it while we were at an SCA event and she's all "you should make those in different colors with a double drawstring and people would buy them as bun covers for there hair.  what do you guys think? There may be a seperate post later just for those if I decide to make more.

Tenille you are brilliant!  I think I might have to make one of those sets... it would be good to keep in the car for random moments of away-from-home boredom.
