Hooray for Harry Potter movie AND book coming out soon
My friends and I are throwing a party before each event and we need some harry potter-esque appetizers and meals.

We already have a few crafty ideas. but oohlala. it'd be nice if we had some more.

That site is amazing! I'm bookmarking it and I'd also like to add my thanks Cheesy

And to the OP, if you're lacking in Butterbeer recipes (because there's only four on that site  Wink) there's another one on MuggleNet here, as well as a few other things: http://mugglenet.com/misc/rosmertas/index.shtml

Butterbeer is my favourite edible from the books, I'm so excited to try it!

EDITED to add: Take loads of pictures! I wish I was having a Harry Potter party, it sounds awesome, I hope you have a lot of fun!
And I love cartoon Beetlejuice. I wanted to be Lydia for the longest time.

Someone I know made chocolate frog by buying those gummy frogs and covering them in chocolate. they were really good

On butterbeer:
I like Cream Soda with melted butterscotch ice cream. You can add cinnamon, or allspice or whatever suits you. I don't drink, but I suppose you can add a fitting alcohol as well if you into that. It's good if you serve it with something a little tart, like an apple slice on the rim because it is VERY sweet.

well as i am underage, and respect the fact that i'm not allowed to drink yet.
I'll stick with the non-alchoholic drinks thankyou!!
but the chocolate frogs with the gummy frogs in them sounds superb!!!!!

Wow!  What a great site.  We made a version of the butterbeer that uses ice cream.  The one we made involves mixing butter, ice cream, and various spices the melting it in the cider.  It is amazingly yummy.  If you want the recipe let me know, it's not on the party site as it came from a newspaper article.  We also did wands with the really big pretzel sticks in melted white and dark chocolate.  Yay Harry Potter!
