My version of the Polly Pocket dolls i guess.. just wanted a doll that could be easily carried around. I was thinking of doing like a flower shaped bag to carry them in and could also double as a bed? rug? any suggestions?

the dolls are about 1.5 inches high.. their clothes are a pain to pattern and make.

alright my lovely ladies and gents.. if you want a pattern, i will post one.. EVEN the hoodie! look for the variation on wallets and pocket bibis pattern on sunday, i'll put them up then! As always, thank you thank you THANK you for looking!

Alright my ladies(and gents). sorry it took so long but broken foot ended up with a chest infection and its been one long week stirring pots of chicken soup.

AND NOW (drum roll) FOR ZE PATTERN!!! (wild applause)
You will need:
1.Thread - no.10 i think, it's called knitting cotton here. you will need the colors beige, black, pink, red, and yellow.
2. 1.5 mm crochet hook - i used steel hooks
3. A great deal of patience.

Pattern-
Head - make adjustable ring. crochet 6 sc into ring and tighten.
Round 1 - 2 sc into each sc (12 sc total).
Round 2 - 2 sc into every 2nd sc (18 total)
Round 3 to Round 6 - 1 sc into each sc
Round 7 - 1 sc into next 2 sc, skip one sc, repeat till end (12 sc)
Round 8 - 1 sc into next sc, skip one sc, repeat till end (6 sc)
Stuff with polyfill at this point and then fasten off leaving about 5 inches of thread (you need this to sew the head onto the body)

Body - make adjustable ring. Crochet 6 sc into ring and tighten
follow instructions as for head till round 2
Round 3 - 2 sc into every third sc. (24 sc)
Round 4 - 2 sc into every fourth sc (30 sc)
Round 5 - Round 8 - 1 sc into each sc till end.
Round 9 - 1 sc into the next 4 sc ,skip one sc and repeat till end (24 sc)
Round 10 - 1 sc into next 3 sc, skip one sc, repeat till end (18 sc)
Round 11 - 1 sc into next 2 sc, skip one sc , repeat till end (12 sc)
Round 12 - 1 sc into next sc, skip one sc, repeat till end (6 sc)
stuff with polyfill.

Hands make 2 - make adjustable ring 6 sc into ring and tighten
Round 1- 2 sc into every 2nd sc (9 sc)
Round 2 to Round 5 - 1 sc in each sc.fasten off leavin 5 inches of thread
stuff with polyfill

Legs make 2 (or three Cheesy) - make adjustable ring 6 sc into ring and tighten
Round 1- 2 sc into each sc (12 sc)
Round 2-6 - 1 sc into each sc.fasten off leaving 5 in of thread
stuff with polyfill

making up the doll. sew the head onto the body, sew the hands and legs onto the body as well.

Hoodie- Its basically two rectangles.
make a foundation ch the width of the body and work one row of sc into it. the second row, at the points where the hands are attached, substitute 3 ch for the 3 sc.
continue to make the rectangle, fitting it onto the doll at intervals. when the rectangle reaches the other hand, make the same 3 ch instead of 3sc to fit over the other hand and then work one more row of sc and fasten off.

Make another smaller rectangle and fold in half and sew one side.. this makes the top of the 'hood'. Attach the other end to the previously made rectangle and you got your hoodie! Simple isnt it??!!
OH i almost forgot. French knots for ze eyes, french knot for the nose (with pink) and a running stitch for the mouth. hehe..sorry.

Good. i'm off to bed now.. just message me with any questions, queries , criticisms about my pathetic pattern writing skills..yada yada yada..

oh and thanks so much for your 0.15 Cents about the leaf bowl/home. will try it out and tell you

No problem waiting here, just that I felt lower than the belly of a snake on the bottom of the ocean for not letting you know how shweet the bibi's are.  I need to stop lurking so much  Roll Eyes - am mostly speechless over all the talent I see!!!
Thanks, S.C. *hugz*  Grin

Wow, that's awesome.  I remember Polly Pockets, but these are cooler.  It'd be awesome to crochet "doll houses" for them like the Polly Pockets had.

Those are too cute. Have you thought of making a leaf bowl? That could also serve as a bed. Just my $.15.

Cheers, Ellena

Afterthought PS - did you use yarn or thread?

Thanks, I too will be looking for the pattern.
