I received my
wonderful
tin from silentdementia a few days ago.
The whole tin is covered in felt with shome really awesome stiching work on the top; it's so neatly done too!!
Inside were some lovely clips, earrings, a bracelet and pins. The heart pin is just perfect to cover up a little hole on my favourite sweater too, I saw it and wooped out loud! I've been looking for something suitable for a while
And at the bottom was; what I first thought was just a pretty little bit of knitting, was actually a SUPER COOL wrist warmer!! I'm wearing it right now. It's so comfy I just love it!
Thank you so much silentdementia!

I am posting pictures of the tin that Philip7424298 recieved from me.
This was a challenge - making a more 'masculine' themed boxed (expecially after working on the Pink Swap!!) - but I was up for it and thrilled when we exchanged emails and I came up with a great idea for his theme.
My partner has a hobby called Letterboxing - which is through an organization whose members 'hide' boxes with a rubber stamp and log and post clues to find them. They are all over the country. Seekers have their own stamps and leave their mark in the logs when found and then use the found stamps to mark a personal log. Very cool.
I designed a tin to look like the outdoors. There is the 'dirt' and rocks embedded, a tree, a compass, and the word 'SEARCH'. I decoupaged coordinates and clues around the edge. I added feet.
Inside there was a pocket for a message and decoupaged bottom. Inside I made two mini journals and some magnets with the Letterboxing logo. I added a few extra rocks and shells. Not shown was a mini 'tin' (a matchbook covered in mulberry paper with bead feet and pull that included a pull out accordian folded message). I hope he enjoys it!!

Philip - glad you liked the tin - yours came today - a beach theme!! - and I will post pictures tomorrow when my camera has charged.
I enjoyed making your tin - and learning about letterboxing. I am so tempted to go searching for some of the hidden boxes that are nearby - there are a few close to home!

Me again! This time I am posting the pics from the tin that Phillip742498 sent.
He went with my beach theme! The top looks and feel like real sand (don't know how you did that?!) and is topped with fiber 'seaweed' , textured paper, and a glass bottle (for a message). It was edged in tiny shells.
inside had water image paper and two handmade matchbook notebooks, another little bottle, some beachy colored beads and some portable folding scissors (handy!)
thanks a bunch!!!
