Nicole used two of my themes, fractals and microscopic life, which just happen to coordinate excellently together.

The tin itself. The bottom has that cool cracked effect--very fractalish. The top is a detailed spiral fractal.

Inside the bottom--not shown--she melted beads to make a coaster. But, it wouldn't come out . No problem.

In the very back is the notecard. Oops, I didn't include a notecard. I'll just email the "notes".

Burstandbloom received the tin I sent this afternoon.
she doesn't have a digital camera so I am posting pics for her.

The top of the tin. The picture is vintage German scrap. The edges of the lid are finished with seed beads (peyote).

The inside with the tin open. Underside the lid is an embroidery of a pair of Bitterns inspired by JJ Audubon. It is done on painted silk. The birds are made with an applique of painted silk organza.

There is a little stuffie of a tree. The three apples are store bought foam stickers.

This view kind of makes me feel a little dizzy.

Inside bottom. This is a minimalist-ic painting of a lone tree. Done on silk with embroidered details. The red object is a beaded bead apple charm.

In case you haven't guessed, her themes included birds, trees and apples.
