Many of you met my mittens in this swap.  I have an appointment with the vet this afternoon I have to have her put down.  She is so sick I took her to the doc on friday because she hadn't been eating and her hind legs were not working right.  They kept her overnight and gave her an IV fluids and we brought her home to see how she did for the weekend.  She is still sweet as ever and doesn't seem to be in pain but she can hardly walk and just drags herself around.  She can't use the litter box although she tries.  She doesn't seem to know she can't walk she even tries to go up the stairs.

But I know she can't live like this and it is so sad to see her go.  We have had her for 15 years she is the only pet we have ever had.  My daughter was 4 when she decided to live with us.  I am realy going to miss her.

That is so sad.
I heard or read something once and I know I'm going to mess it up but it goes something like

You know her life was richer for all the love you had to give.

It's so sad to hear that.
It's hard to believe that you have to let her go when she always has been on your side.
I believe she has had a wonderful life with you and she is very thankful

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. I understand how you feel because I had to do the same last summer with my little dog of 13 years. They depend on us to care for them in every way and this is yet one last act of love we need to do no matter how hard.

Good wishes going your way...
