burstandbloom received her tin today and boy did she love it! I went with her apples theme, as well as blue, birds, and trees.

the outside: shadow of a bird, with tree and moon in the background.

the inside: "the fashion of birds"

the loot: the reds family (one is a charm), apple key chain, two marble magnets, an ello flower, a blue name charm, and two blue earrings, and a blue/green melted bead coaster.

family vacation pic: they couldnt wait! i must say it was hard parting with the reds  Sad

I had so much fun crafting for Nicole, and Im glad that she loved it!

Tried to use all of the themes: coffee, yellow, plaid, B&W photography, and gray. (Colors included orange and green.)

Glad to supply a happy surprise!

Oh no, a broken key chain.  I will make a new one and send that off to you, photog_in_plaid.

Aww, thanks Greenie! I opened the tin and pulled out the hankie and the ring from the key fob fell out and then I found the cute little mug and saw it was missing the handle (I still haven't found the handle either, the under the bed gnomes must have gotten it.)

I finally have pictures of my smexy tin from Luinecu. I know, it was terribly selfish on me not showing my goodies off sooner. She picked my Monty Python and The Holy Grail theme, which I'd actually forgotten I put down so it was a great surprise.

The actual tin, isn't it fabulous? The glue just wanted to feel pretty so it snuck into both pictures.

And the goodies inside, an origami Killer Rabbit, a 'Help I'm Being Repressed' patch, earrings with the symbols of Sir Robin and Sir Lancelot if I'm not wrong, and some lovely beads, button and general shiny things to satisfy my inner magpie Cheesy Thanks so much, I love it all!

Mine--from burstandbloom--just arrived!

I got picks.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/coyotl/801608431/

Nicole used two of my themes, fractals and microscopic life, which just happen to coordinate excellently together.

Listing from left to right, counterclockwise (cause that's how I roll).
Bitty, baby book--aww
Lovely photo charm
Bitty baby fractal picture in little frame--aww
Magnets
Lovely key chain of algae (or diatoms. I should know this)
The tin itself. The bottom has that cool cracked effect--very fractalish. The top is a detailed spiral fractal.

Inside the bottom--not shown--she melted beads to make a coaster. But, it wouldn't come out . No problem.

In the very back is the notecard. Oops, I didn't include a notecard. I'll just email the "notes".

Lovely, ain't it folks?

Thank you burstandbloom. I am so pleased.

Burstandbloom received the tin I sent this afternoon.
she doesn't have a digital camera so I am posting pics for her.

Here goes.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/coyotl/803183602/
The top of the tin. The picture is vintage German scrap. The edges of the lid are finished with seed beads (peyote).

http://www.flickr.com/photos/coyotl/803183654/
The inside with the tin open. Underside the lid is an embroidery of a pair of Bitterns inspired by JJ Audubon. It is done on painted silk. The birds are made with an applique of painted silk organza.

There is a little stuffie of a tree. The three apples are store bought foam stickers.

This view kind of makes me feel a little dizzy.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/coyotl/803183662/
Inside bottom. This is a minimalist-ic painting of a lone tree. Done on silk with embroidered details. The red object is a beaded bead apple charm.

In case you haven't guessed, her themes included birds, trees and apples.

I received my wonderful tin from silentdementia a few days ago.

The whole tin is covered in felt with shome really awesome stiching work on the top; it's so neatly done too!!

Inside were some lovely clips, earrings, a bracelet and pins. The heart pin is just perfect to cover up a little hole on my favourite sweater too, I saw it and wooped out loud! I've been looking for something suitable for a while Cheesy

And at the bottom was; what I first thought was just a pretty little bit of knitting, was actually a SUPER COOL wrist warmer!! I'm wearing it right now. It's so comfy I just love it!

Thank you so much silentdementia!

I am posting pictures of the tin that Philip7424298 recieved from me.
This was a challenge - making a more 'masculine' themed boxed (expecially after working on the Pink Swap!!)  - but I was up for it and thrilled when we exchanged emails and I came up with a great idea for his theme.

My partner has a hobby called Letterboxing - which is through an organization whose members 'hide' boxes with a rubber stamp and log and post clues to find them.  They are all over the country.  Seekers have their own stamps and leave their mark in the logs when found and then use the found stamps to mark a personal log.  Very cool.

I designed a tin to look like the outdoors.  There is the 'dirt' and rocks embedded, a tree, a compass, and the word 'SEARCH'.  I decoupaged coordinates and clues around the edge.  I added feet.

Inside there was a pocket for a message and decoupaged bottom.  Inside I made two mini journals and some magnets with the Letterboxing logo.  I added a few extra rocks and shells.  Not shown was a mini 'tin' (a matchbook covered in mulberry paper with bead feet and pull that included a pull out accordian folded message).  I hope he enjoys it!!

Philip - glad you liked the tin - yours came today - a beach theme!! - and I will post pictures tomorrow when my camera has charged.

I enjoyed making your tin - and learning about letterboxing.  I am so tempted to go searching for some of the hidden boxes that are nearby - there are a few close to home!

Me again!  This time I am posting the pics from the tin that Phillip742498 sent.

He went with my beach theme!  The top looks and feel like real sand (don't know how you did that?!) and is topped with fiber 'seaweed' , textured paper, and a glass bottle (for a message).  It was edged in tiny shells.

inside had water image paper and two handmade matchbook notebooks, another little bottle, some beachy colored beads and some portable folding scissors (handy!)

thanks a bunch!!!
