My older kids, 8 & 10 are at camp so my 4 year old Lydia and myself decided to make good use out of a tractor tire my husband brought home.  We planted a small pizza garden with two green peppers, two oreganos, two sweet basils and some cherry tomatoes.

That's a great idea, so that you can have all those plants together! I might have to borrow this idea for my new house ... Nice use of the tire too!

I love tire gardens!! The tire keeps the roots nice and warm. I've seen people layer them for potatoes-just add another as the potato plant grows!

i love it, i have a tire in my back yard that i want to use as a planter, i have to wait till next year tho, i want to wait till my daughter, 1 1/2,  is a little older so she can help too!
