Ok, so first I have to say, I usually hate swap spoiler posts... BUT I have to get this posted while I'm motivated and sitting here loading pictures!!!

So, Tanza and I did this for a personal swap, she sent me some hello kitty cloth pads and I am sending her this....

It's not my original idea. She sent me a pattern and I copied the basic idea. I did use the pattern for the flowers, but the leaves were tricky so I had to kinda wing them! Enjoy! I'd love to hear what you have to say!

That is beautiful and I know she'll love it. You did an awesome job.

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

Here's the link she posted in the January birthday swap, wich we were both in, and ended up doing our swap from the lists...

http://www.theanticraft.com/archive/beltane06/maidensglory.htm

The leaves on the pattern are very big and very floppy unless you use a stiff yarn. The cotton samples I did just kinda hung over the top... I think you could starch them, and I am going to encourage Tanza to use hairspray on them if she wants them to be a bit stiffer, but I tacked them in place pretty well. I wanted them to still be a bit 'free' from the stems but not floppy. Anywhoo... Thanks for looking!

I've been thinking about the scarf! I think it would make a great scarf too! It is kinda heavy believe it or not. I think it would look really cute with some spirals hanging down too... a little more vine-y you know?
I have plans on making a single cluster of leaves and flowers on a crocheted headband for my DD since she was really excited about this crown!

Oh I agree with ya javastain, viney would be nice.  I think I know someone who'd love this as a scarf if it were longer.  I'll have to keep it in mind (with a hundred other project ideas  Roll Eyes)
