Thanks for the info craft_dame, I thought it might be like that.  This would be my first time organizing - and I haven't studies all the rules yet (I will, I promise).

Thanks for the input beadedbyamy.  I kind of like the other way better, although I can see why that would be fun too.  Of course, we may only get 4 or 5 participants.  Maybe we could let people choose whether they'd do the same or different.

Anyone else - input?

I'm thinking of posting this on the jewelry board, just to let folks know it's here.  Thoughts?

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

I would be happy either way. I like the idea of a non-themed craftster bracelet with charms from tons of craftster friends, but I also like the idea of a themed bracelet from a few craftster friends. Either way suits me just fine. I'm easy.  Cheesy

KarenLouiseM, I really hope you're feeling better! I can't image how miserable adult chicken pox would be. It was bad enough the first time around as a kid. Get better! Be generous with the calamine lotion! Don't scratch! Drink lots of fluids! (sorry- channeling my mother)

I like the idea of a larger group and non-themed bracelets...it just sounds like more fun to me.   Grin

Also, yes definitely post on the jewelry board - that's a great idea!

Thanks for inputs!

I hadn't really thought of a "theme" - I was just thinking each person would make the same charm for each person they send to and then beadedbyamy suggested that each person could make different charms for each person they were sending to.  Make sense?

Makes sense, but I would rather do 12 similar charms for my partners - I think that would be more fun because we'd get 12 very different things!

Perhaps we could make make the "theme" idea an option. For me, I don't know that I would wear a charm bracelet that was just random charms, but I would love to have one that fit in with my style that I could wear all the time. Maybe I'm just picky. Plus I personally don't like to make the same thing over and over and would rather personalize to each person. The small group thing was just a suggestion that I thought was practical because of shipping costs. Why send out 12 packages instead of 4? And just because the charms come from the same person, you shouldn't assume they would all be alike. This is craftster- everyone's multi-talented and creative!

Oh yay, I sign into crafter after forever and find this! I think I'll be in (don't want to miss one), my husband just got laid off so I'll have to see how his job hunt goes, but I already know what I'd make!

And I will enjoy NOT organizing this time!

I'm not really down for a theme personally, I love my eclectic bracelet BECAUSE it's all different but matched everyone else's. Like a secret decoder ring club thing. Every charm was very representative of the crafter, I love that.

Shipping isn't really that bad, I did 12 twice, it cost barely 20 bucks. We waived the DC's last time I think? CraftyDame? Without the DC's it's about a dollar and 12 cents to send, if that, per charm.
