I play around with embroidery... make postcards.... attack things with paint. I also love to bust out the shrink paper... and magnets are probably the most common release of crafting in a short time... thank goodness for glue guns.

Usually my crafting attention span come in short but powerful bursts. Plus I am working with very limited space... I am pretty sure there are dorms larger than my apartment. Cheesy

marble magnets is a brilliant quicky craft, but it does require better space to craft than, say.. crocheting or knitting Grin

"Stressed" is "desserts" spelled backwards.

Sock creatures.
Like this dude here:

I always have a pair of socks at hand, and can whip up one of these guys in one to two hours.

I also always have some kidswear knitting in the works - very good craft for travelling.

Sock creatures are awesome, I've made a few Cheesy
I do shrinky dinks or very small knitting projects  (or combine the two? http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=179328.0), or just muck something up. I draw a lot, too (apparently I'm an artist?) so that's usually my "quickie" craft.

Ohh .. Shrinky Dinks .. I just "re-found" my stash of shrinky dinks .. just in time for a swap too!   Another thing I do is make backgrounds for ATCs ... it usually involves paint and glue .. sometimes vasaline .. but always fun!  and ATCs are so small, they get done in no time!

Do you glue the ends of the yarn on the pens, or what?
Yes use craft glue at the ends and if you want a little on the way down the pen
