After 7 years of studying French, I was hoping to get something simple correct.  I was re-reading the Harry Potter books in French, but they're slow going.  All of my French speaking friends are back by where I went to college, and I don't really know anyone here to practice with.

I love the dollar stores, you can find some of the craziest stuff.  they're hit and miss tho, like no HP stuff right now Sad  but I bet for this swap I can find some things.

I love HP too! And it's funny because I read one of the books in English...and it was very hard for me.  A regular book's OK but the wizard world of HP is kinda difficult to read. I had to buy the book in french instead.  If I remember OK it was the Philosopher Stone one.

And you're right I've never seen any HP stuff at the dollar store...Disney, Dora, Sponge Bob but no HP  Cry C'est pas grave!

that could be, craftydeb, that could be.  i've had my eye on some fabric at walmart that i'm going to make work no matter what "damnit, you'll like it" LOL.

ok, now back to reading HP in english, even then, I don't want to read the end of "half blood prince" again, once was enough.  sigh.

my major was animal science and my minor was french; my pop says I should go to france (or quebec, bien sur) and become a french speaking horse trainer.  now, if i know those words, that'd work  Roll Eyes

I can't resist! Must take part in fun (frugal) swap!

Especially since I'm on a drastic budget, so limiting my purchasing power is a good thing!
