Oh, This sounds like so much fun. I am in if I get feedback for a few swaps that I have sent the items out but have not gotten there just yet. One should get there tomorrow. So I am sure I will have time to get the feedback and get to swapping. I love bargins. :O

So tempting!!!

Ahh!! But I'm already in swaps and travelling a bunch next month!

I'll probably have to pass, but I hope there's another round, this sounds like a great swap idea. Smiley

If this swap goes well - which I really and truly hope it does since it does combine two of my loves as well - bargain shopping/thrifting and crafting - I do see it becoming an ongoing swap.. I really hope it takes off.

We are off to a slow sign up start though which does scare me - but then maybe as some of everyone's feedback gets cleared up it will start to fill in a bit...

This is going to be a wickedly cool gallery!

And a reminder - if you are shopping ahead - keep your running tally of how much you spent on what so you can report back at the end so we can all enjoy what cost how much!  - if it doesn't fit with your partner's tastes you can always save it for something else and just cross that item off your list!

I really am going to hold you guys to posting up your totals!  I think that will be almost as much fun as seeing the gallery action shots!

I am going to do my best to match people up with their abilities to what people might want so......

This sounds like fun!  I wonder if people are just waiting till the sign ups are close to ending to sign up.

OK I want in!  I was hesitant because I haven't been active on this board for a while - I've been on more parenting related boards for a while since I had a baby, but he's 8 months and getting more independent now and I'm getting back into crafting.

I think since came back again today to check the thread, that must mean I really want to do this.

I would love to join, but I don't have a spot free at the moment. But I should be able to sign up later!

Just for clarification, do we need to show the receipts to prove how much we spend or is it honor-based? I'm asking, because there are not many thrift stores around, but many fleamarkets and you don't get receipts there.

Good point. I have a HUGE flea market and the only stand that gives you a recipt is the fresh market, and they are not thrifty. Smiley But oh sooooo yummy!!!!

No receipts are needed - it is totally honor system - Just keep track of what you spend on what so you can show off your shopping skills at the end!

Join!  Please!  You know you want to! And it is only required to craft a medium sized item so it is pretty doable..

Would you guys like me to shorten the sign up time to like July 10th this way those that are travelling a bit can start to shop/craft eariler?

It doesn't matter to me if you make signs up end earlier or keep them at the date already set.  I hope more people get involved as I do think this is a super cool idea for a swap.
