Hi,
I finally made something else.
I used New Look 6515 (size 16), did a full bust adjustment, made it out of jersey from my stash and modified how the facings were done to get contrast banding.

(the piece of white is just a scrap of fabric, I'll wear this with a cami normally)

I'll use the same pattern to make a top for my pregnant sister in law. I'll cut the front panel wider and longer and gather it under the bust as well, just need to find the right fabric first.

More photos on my blogger page: http://bycat.blogspot.com/2007/06/chocolate-mock-sswrap-top.html

Thanks for looking.

Very nice!  That turned out great - I am always afraid to try that style as it would take so much altering to make it work.  Love the chocoalte colroed fabric too!

I've been meaning to try a top like that: it's cute and flattering!  Love your colors- you'll have to post if you do the maternity top.  My sister is 3 mos along and will be looking for things to wear soon!

Very nicely done! I love the colors on you... and I really like the fabric you chose for the contrast band. It pulls the whole thing together and makes it a lot more eye catching than it would've been without it.

And the style looks so pretty on you!

Wow - that's really flattering.  I hate trying to buy those shirts because the cut is always wrong - the band goes right across my boobs or else it's entirely too low cut.  So you did a good job of shaping yours just right!  I'm really impressed.
