I found this chair on the side of the road but its fabric was aweful (and the house it was lying in front of looked questionable so I didn't know who'd been sitting on it) so in good craftster spirit I carried it home and rooted through my stash for something suitable.

Before

The fabric was ripped but the foam inside was still good so I used it instead of replacing it.

After

Much prettier. I'm really happy with it.

I added ribbon to hide a couple staples

I'm proud of myself

What a horrendous looking chair. Thank goodness you showed up to save it from being teased by all the other chairs at the rubbish tip!
The stripes look really good, and i love the ribbon detail.

I love the ribbon accents. You would never know they were there to hide the mechanics.
