Ok.... so the colour looks like baby poo but it sure doesn't smell that way  Grin

I am so pleased with this, my first ever soap making attempt. It is made with green tea and lemongrass herbal tea, lard, olive oil, grapeseed oil, caustic soda (of course!) and citronella e.o.
It still has to cure but I wanted to show it off  Grin It may not be the most attractive of soaps, but it is MY SOAP, made by ME - I'm sure y'all know how I feel  Grin Grin

crayons...ordinary wax crayons?
I never even thought of adding colour!

Please don't use crayons for coloring soap!  They are not FDA approved for use in skincare products.  There are a lot of approved colorants out there.  Some may even be in your kitchen - turmeric, parsley, coffee are just a few of them.  You can also go to sites like Mystic Mountain Sage, From Nature with Love, Mystify your Sense, etc. for all your soaping needs.

Coffee, tumeric and parsley sound so much better than crayons anyway, so THANK YOU for that. Its hard to know which info is the right info.

I actually love how it looks. Makes me think hands made this with care, instead of being mechanical... Sorta like grandma cutting off a chunk of soap just for you. And the natural coloring is great... again makes me wanna take a bath and curl up in a warm robe.

I've since made a second batch, which to my great surprise also worked LOL
The 2nd ones were scented with patchouli oil and coloured with tumeric and mouled in a Pringles can  Grin I'll post some pics up later (when its daylight!)
