Thanks everyone for all the fantastic coments! The things i come up with sometimes amaze me.
If the crocheting part is really easy since all the holes are right there.
Atomiqt- you could definitly try any stitch to put them together. The blanket stitch sounds like a good idea. Whenever i looked at the cans with the holes in them it reminds me of those yarn board toys for little kids to help them learn how to lace shoes and stuff. So maybe that will help you be inspired.
I wanted to use duck tape so i didnt have to punch all those holes, but the duct tape was to wide and it wasnt cutting in half right, it was a mess. maybe I'll try it again sometime. If some on does, let me know how it goes

That is 31337! I love weird, crazy-looking things just like that. It's very original... I almost feel guilty wanting to make one myself.

Fantastic purse!!! Fantastic tute!!! Thanksssssssssss
atomiqt??? just an idea, not sure it would work, maybe you could do a blanket stitch with the holes (instead of the crocheting)?? use a thicker yarn or go arnd twice using the sport yarn.

Thanks you guys for the suggestions!!! I think I understand what you are supposed to do now!!! I will have to try that as soon as I get enough cans... (Just wondering though... about how long did it take you to put it all together, geekmagnet?)

i dont know how long it took, i did it over a series of days. hmmm...a hour or so cutting cans apart, about three hours of tv shows punching holes. hour crocheting around, 30 minutes joining everything, an hour fighting with the sewing machine. the killer part is punching the holes, the rest wasnt to bad.

What did you use to punch the holes
At first I thought you would use a hole puncher, but I guess the cans would be to hard to punch through...
