Thought I'd share this idea with yall revampers!

All my "ingredients" I picked up at our local dollar store...  In all each one costs around 5 0r 6 bucks - depending on how cheap you want to shop!
What you'll need is:
2 matching ashtrays (glass)
1 box of 20 count mini lights (I used colored)
A roll of ribbon (I used wire edged as it holds shapes better)
1 little doo-dad for the top (I chose Santa, a little girl kissing a bird and a Moose)
Some artificial greenery (I used a garland to cut up and I could get more for the buck this way)

So.. First you take the price off the ashtray!  Then you stick the lights inside - letting the cord hang out the area where your cig would sit:

Then you put the other ashtray (upside down) on top:

Wrap it with ribbon like you would wrap a box:

Then you just decorate it with your fake greens and your doo-dad figurine.  I used heavy duty glue to make them stick.  These are the three I popped out.

You wouldn't have to use the Xmas theme on yours...  you could get as funky as you want, but mine are going to the "Grandparents" for Christmas, hence the themes.

Hope yall show off your pics if you make them too!

Very spiffy. Admittedly, though, I clicked on this somehow thinking, "Light-up ashtray? Sweet, I could smoke in the dark!"
Yeah, guess what's on my new year's resolution list.
