I figured I might try the freezer paper method for making my stencils but i've looked for it but it seems like we don't have it in the UK. I went to hobbycraft and all the supermarkets and they didn't have any, so i'm right out of ideas. Do we have an equivalent product or does it have a different name over here? I've seen it on the internet but i would rather get it from a shop. If anyone could shed light on the matter i would be grateful.

This thread might help a bit: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=175182.0

You could always swap a craftster from the U.S. for it!

I've seen it at Hobbycraft. Perhaps they were just out of stock? (on the off chance that you live near Watford, they definitely have it in the hobbycraft there!)

Also, you'll find it with the quilting supplies. Not sure if you knew that, so thought I'd mention it in case you're just looking in the wrong place! Smiley

I had to look up HobbyCraft - none in London Sad

They mention the freezer paper here - http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/craft_techniques/technique_26.html

I'm in Denmark and found bookcover paper works in the same way as freezer paper. See:

There's a Hobbycraft in Watford. Which counts as London, if you live in Harrow like me  Grin

Try Strathmore paper palettes (other paper palettes might work too).  The paper backing is a bit thinner than freezer paper but it's basically the same thing;  Paper that is plastic-coated on one side.
