I've been really busy dying yarn in the past two weeks.  I ran out of dye twice!  Silly me for not checking the levels of what I had and um changing my mind at the last minute over what color the yarn will be dyed...

First is 8 skeins (440 yds) of Lion Brand Bolero that I overdyed.  The original colorway was "Blue Lime" and though the colors were nice, I thought they'd be way too busy and distract from the pattern.  (I'm using the yarn to knit the Rockefeller Sweater from Twinkle's Big City Knits)

My camera doesn't do well with subtle variations in dark colors..

If I had to give it a name, I'd call it "Deep Forest."  I used Jacquard acid dye in Spruce.

Next up is a bit less than 2 skeins of Berroco Ultra Alpaca that I dyed pink.  I had planned for over a month to dye it dark blue, then suddenly changed my mind.. it had to be bright pink!  with slight purple tints!  This will become the Luna Moth Shawl from Elann.com.

I am so happy with this.   Grin
