Ever wonder how Mer-folk reproduce?  Well, after much research on the matter, the consensus seems to be that they would indeed lay eggs!

Handspun and dyed...comes with a needle felted flower with vintage buttons which can be sewn to finished object, or made into a brooch.

Oh, yes...it's Lilac colored Jacob Wool and Angora spun on my Little Gem 2 and plied with a light blue acrylic super-fine two-ply yarn and then hand-dyed.

Thanks!

This reminds me of Dumberdores Funeral from the Harry Potter 6.  Gorgeous, but, those colors are the colors I use in my artwork for depression.  The yarn is absolutely lovely.

Funny...I always think of Merfolk as being somber and a bit melancholy.  I know that green is calming...maybe that's why you associate the color with depression?  That and the fact that it's kind of green-sea colored...the sea makes me think of contemplation and moodiness...as one sitting on the shore, staring out into the green waters.  Of course, the blue seas are invigorating!  What a contrast!

Thanks for liking it!

Gorgeous!  The color is so ocean-like.
That needle-felted flower makes the whole thing come together.

Thanks!  People usually say of my yarns, "It's lovelier in person!"  At least that's what my swap partners have all said so far!  I'm glad, but it makes me think my photos are not doing the yarn justice.  Plus, there's the softness...you can't feel that through a photo.
