Greetings! I've been away from Craftster for far too long (when did we get the spiffy corkboard background?) and thought I would get back into the swing of things by posting the quilt I finished this afternoon.

This was my first attempt and though the flaws run rampant it is still very comfortable. The fabric was from a fat quarter pack I bought at the local Sewing & Quilting fair in January. The backing is flannel and I dno't quite recall the batting I used, I think it is warm & natural. There is a combination of machine quilting and tying. Additional yardage was bought so I could bring the finished size to 40" x 54".

And here is my proof that kitties don't care if your beginner machine quilting skills leave much to be desired. Smiley

I have to say I have even more respect for all the prep work that goes into quilting!! I have another quilt top that is nearly done in the same pattern with a different fabric set from the same quilting fair.
