I couldn't resist.  Wink  If you look closely, you'll see all the little O's.

McCall's 5423 in this random jersey my eagle-eyed mother found at a thrift store.

Overall, super easy pattern, though I ended up going with a size smaller than usual - there's a lot of ease. Sadly, the print is at an odd angle on the fabric, so I couldn't do any matching of the very obvious diagonal, but I think the elastic gathering does a good job of camouflaging.

One modification: the pattern called for 3/4" elastic and I only had 1/4", so I put in two rows of elastic.

Thanks for looking!

Love it!!!  I saw this pattern and didn't think much of it, but I think I will be making it now.  One question though...do you have to use a serger to sew stretchy fabrics???  Huh

Thanks for all the positive comments!  Cheesy

gobanana, i used a regular machine, though was missing my serger (still in the basement of my parents' house) immensely.  that said, the instructions don't even assume you have one, and are actually pretty well written.

i highly recommend this pattern, especially if you need some instant gratification or if you're a beginner.  i think it took me longer to cut it out.

Lovely dress!  It looks like something they'd charge $150 for at a store.  Thanks for posting -- I just might have to try this pattern.  I could use some instant gratification since I've been in kind of a sewing slump lately.
