I think it is self hardening clay, but correct me if I'm wrong jamesdean.

Here are the pictures of the mobile I sent A_patchwork_orange.

It is a moblie of a flock of flamingos made out of watercolor paper.  She said she liked birds and pink so I figured flamingos would be perfect.

Here is a close up of one of the flamingos.

I hope they are happy in their new home.

I have FINALLY had the time to put my lovely mobile together, and for right now, it is hanging in my family room - that is where I was when i assembled it.  I believe it will eventually migrate into my sewing room, since that is where I spend most of my time.

Thank you giantsquid for posting the pictures!  I guess the flamingos are a bit camera shy at my house, because I could not, for the life of me, get a decent shot!  They keep flying about, and the pictures are all blurry!  (okay, the truth is, I can't take a decent picture of a still life...but at least the moving mobile makes for a much better excuse, don't you think?)

sorry it took so long to reply just returned from a long needed vacation, it is a clay, earthen ware you have to fire in a kiln. But I didn't use the usual glaze I watercolored it and then mod podged to seal. glad giant squid still liked it even broken, so very sorry about that!
