I've sent my details in! I had told myself I wasn't going to join any more swaps for a while but having been a dancer all my life I can't miss this one out.

Aarrgh! I totally want to do this one but I have NO MONEY for materials!  *pout*

you could totally make a cardboard sign
and write "will dance for money"
its totally appropriate
since you will be dancing for a dance swap Cheesy

You know there have been times in my career when I've almost had to do that.

I think that'll depend on what people request. Personally, I asked for a dance bag, legwarmers, jewelery, screen-printed t-shirts, etc (I don't expect ALL those things, just suggestions  Tongue). I think it will really depend on what you want and what partner you get.

I'm hoping to make dancer-themed things more than actual dance bits and pieces (I can't expect anyone else to bead me a costume for bellydancing!), or stuff that doubles up, like a bag I could take to class or performances, a coverup, etc.

I think BlackArmadillo's right, it depends on what you and your partner think is appropriate (I've had the best swap experiences with partners I communicated with a bit).

We've got quite a few ballerinas so far... I'm wondering where all the flamenco femmes and fellow bellybabes are hiding?  Wink

Gah, I  so want to join this, but I'm new to swapping and my buddy from my first swap hasn't received her package yet (it's going all the way from Canada to Sweden) so it's not technically finished yet.  Woe.  Hopefully she'll get it before the sign-ups end!  I would proudly help represent the bellydancing faction. One flamenca femme frantically getting her life in gear so she can join this!  My info will be in by the end of the week (self imposed deadline... I can only allow myself to sign up once I've finished making everything else for the geek partner... and I had unexpected surgery this week so am really slow).  Never fear the hip-shaking flamenca shall prevail!

I'm in!  I'm not keeping my hopes up for another Irish dancer out there, but I still do a little ballet/modern/jazz now and then, so that works too.
Can't wait to start crafting!
