Happy Friday!  I'm on my summer vacation, and I'm already losing track of the days.
You all have wonderful creative names like "Honey, I blew up the peacock" and "Plastic Flamingos".  It makes my names sound so boring.
Anyways, my skein for this week:

Spumoni, named for my favorite ice cream that I am constantly recreating in fiber: 2.3 oz ~ 134 yards/ 123 meters

I took this in the afternoon, so it is quite bright.  The colors are darker than that.

I've got to try bamboo now!  All these gorgeous yarns are calling to me to branch out with fibers.

Everyone's yarn is lovely. FeralFeminine your bamboo is breathtaking. JoyousBohimian your lace weight looks so nummy and I love the colors of the peacock yarn.

Hills of Ireland: corridel, alpaca, silk noil, fake ivy leaves, stands of silk dupioni, sequence, and some Angelina
spun on drop spindle, hand dyed and carded

I did a fiber swap with Sheepfeathers and this is what I did with one of her lovely batts. ^^

This weeks main accomplishment was getting my tapesty off the loom ^^ (it is posted in weaving under painting with yarn)

Thank you I hope every one has a wonderful weekend

nice yarns this week.  Cheesy
It's been awhile since I participated but I finally finished plying and wanted to show off a little.

Sorry, I don't have any names or specifics at the moment... well besides that its a 2ply merino yarn.

Wow, you're an inspiration.  I've only started to learn how to spin, and it never occurred to me that you could do that many different and beautiful things...

This was originally "Galaxies" Fluff Candy from YarnPunk. It looked so gorgeous in batt form... I seem to have turned it into something hideous yet strangely compelling... maybe not.

Black and purple wool with yellow and orange neon angelina. The brighter blue bits are crystalina sparkle.

This week I spun from my first batt, purchased from loop on etsy. This is the "Sea Treasure" batt, with merino, corriedale, alpaca, and sari silk and glitz.

58 yards, 3 oz. Too much lime for me to wear, but I think this will make for great gift-knitting yarn! I can't wait to get more batts to play with.

oh my goodness, Rosaceae and Changeling are seriously amazing!

here's my first fiber friday yarn.  i spun it from sheep shed mill ends that i dyed.  so far it has no name, and it's not the best picture, but oh well.  i'm just excited to post here with all of your gorgeous stuff!

I'm saving my fibers for The Tour too! Loofah I love those yarns! I have some bobbins to empty too, lol. Today I am headed to our guild meeting so I have to get carding. Maybe I need some tencel. Can you hand card tencel? I need more fiber. It couldn't hurt to order some before the tour right? Grin
