GENIUS GENIUS GENIUS! I love the idea of mutliple motifs in the same color scheme! You don't have to do the same motif over and over and over again. I love it, and I wish I hadn't already started on a blanket so I could make one like this! Thanks for the inspiration!

This may seem dumb, but Im new to crochet and was just curious how you go about attaching random pieces to one another? I mean what stitch do you normaly? And of course awesome blanket Wink

OMG! I love it! I love the color scheme, overall shape, how it looks disorganized but organized, and everything!! It looks very contemporary and, at the same time, very vintagy...

I just sew them together with a yarn needlle, using  whip sitch

then i went around filling in the gaps, and all around the outside  with treble  (AUS/UK, thats a double in US Smiley
and whip stitching any slits where needed
