A few weekends ago my pumpkin and I went shopping at Wal-mart. I found, what I thought were a cute pair of shoes. Even cuter because they were on clearance. The shoes were pink and sparkly. The next day when she wore them to a birthday party I couldn't figure out why people were singing clips from The Wizard of Oz to her. Then I got it the shoes kinda resembled ruby slippers.Ha Ha
So naturally when I found this at Goodwill, I said to myself "Who killed my sister".
So I bought it, cut off the sleeves, and the neck to make the waist band, and made a pair of leggings to go with her ruby "sneakers".

and, more like the movie

Thanx for looking!

What a cool idea to make the leggings out of a top! I love the shoes too. Very wizard of oz! Love it.

It was real simple to make. I just used an existing pair of leggings that she had as a pattern. Then I cut the neck off of the turtle neck, sewed that on the top as the pants, and that became the waist. I didn't get any shots of the waist band. It looks real cute and it even folds over.
