These are great! I really would like to do baskets for all of our OOT people but I am afraid because that is actually the majority of the people coming! Are you doing a seperate basket for each person or just each room?

I will say that I do plan on doing day of restroom baskets for probably both the men's and women's bathrooms. Particularly with some sunscreen, some insect repellent, allergy medicine, etc. Our wedding is outdoors at 2 PM, so I want people to be comfortable Smiley

I may think about OOT baskets as the time gets closer and I get more stuff done!

I am only do one per room. We have about 6-8 out of towners, at this one hotel, and the fact that there are so few has allowed me to do something fun for them. I could see this being totally impracticle (sp?) if you had a bunch of OOT'ers.

I just picked up a bunch of Chicago postcards yesterday. I'm putting two in each basket, stamped, so they can write off postcards during their visit.

HEY! I'm so glad Sweets linked me to this post. I thought it was theBon who used these baskets.
Well, anyhoo, I remembered them and how great they looked, but I didn't buy them because I don't think we'll have any OOT'ers but once we got our location booked, I realized - bathroom accessories! So I went out and picked up two but you're right. They are a hideous color. Or one that doesn't match our colors anyway. I was wondering if you used a special brand of paint or anything, or a special kind, and if the paint had any trouble adhering.

I just used the metallic peridot Folk Art acrylic paint.
Just let it dry really well in between coats.
I think they will make great bathroom baskets!
(and yes, that purple colour they came in was ATROCIOUS!)
