A friend of mine gave me some really cool pillowcases the other day, I instantly wanted to make something out of them. Problem is, being a plus-sized girl, I was past the idea of just keeping the sides sewn and doing something to the tops and bottoms. So I cut them all up, made a skirt part out of 4 panels ( 1 small, 2 medium, 1 large), the bodice is 4 parts as well ( back part I did elastic ruching) and some lace for trim and straps. The hem is just iron-on hem tape, I was being lazy. I'll probably run it through the machine though... on to the pics!!!

I hope you like it!!!! I am wearing it right now... super comfy!!!

I made two makeup pouches out of another pillowcase, and I still have 3 left, lol...  I loved the fabrics, they were so vintage-girly.  I'm not too good at sewing, i think this is the first thing I've made that I am totalyl proud of :-) thanks for the comment!!!

Very cool, I love it! The straps are lovely, they go with the flowers on the top very well.

very nice job, I love love love the fabric, and the lace trim is adorable. cutting the pillowcase up into panels is a good idea I'll have to try, it seems like you can achieve a more custom fit  Smiley
