for our final project in art class this year, we had to do a reinterpretation of a masterpiece work of art. i based these shoes on "la modele rouge" by rene magritte. it's a painting of boots and they transform into real feet at the end (you can see a tiny bit of it at the top corner).  so i did this:



the fabric that they're sitting on was a dress i made for the project too, using "the son of man" (which you can kind of see too, the guy in the bowler hat and suit with an apple in front of his face). the project all together was somewhat of a female version of a few magritte paintings stuck together.

there's plastic on the furniture to keep it neat and clean,
in the pine sol-scented air, somewhere that's green...
