Finally, after 9 months, I finished my son's baby quilt (4 mo. after his arrival  Cheesy).  It's smaller than a twin, but bigger than a lap quilt.  It's a scrap quilt, though somehow I ended up with more fabric than when I started....maybe b/c so many Craftster's did scrap swaps with me  Cheesy

Just a basic bow-tie quilt, machine pieced, hand quilted.

The whole quilt:

I'm not a quilter so I can't do much in the way of suggestions...but I just wanted to say it looks great!  Really well-put together, fun fabrics -- your son will have it and love it for a long time Smiley.

Wow - I just reread your post and looked more closely at the pictures - ROCK ON with your hand quilting!!!!  It looks great! I don't have the patience, but I really think it looks great when other people take the time.

I love the quilt.  I too have scraps I'm looking to use in a quilt.  Problem is they keep multiplying.
Size wise I love something bigger than a crib size quilt for children.
Job well done.  Grin

That's a very sweet quilt and very nicely made too. When he's older he will love looking at all the different patterns and colours in the fabric scraps. Kind of an "I spy" quilt but just with a different block! Well done!

I think you did a fantastic job.  I love bowtie quilts - makes me think of my grandma who loved to make them.
