I love when someone I know is having a little girl, because this sweater makes me so happy.

Pattern: Elizabeth Zimmermann's baby sweater on 2 needles (practically seamless) from Knitters Almanac
Yarn: Caron Simply soft, which is worsted.  I like the drape of this better with DK, but this was a stashbuster
Needles: Size 5 knitpicks
Mods: I only added 2 buttons and did not do the decreases for the bottom band, because I flat out forgot.

I have been reading her books - which are actually a joy to read.  Her projects are so simple and easy (for the most part) that they have begun to make me have a confidence in my skills.

Your sweater is lovely....I am sure the parents will be very happy with it.

I want one for my daughter, I need to see if my knitting friends have the pattern.  You did a great job, and the two buttons is perfect, thats what i usually put on my baby sweaters.  Im sure the mom to be will love it.

Wow! I've seen a lot of lacy baby sweaters, but that's beautiful! I love the shade of pink you chose... man, now I need to make one for my hope chest! Wink

I'm so jealous!  I love the sweater and have been dying to make it, but since we moved last summer, I can't find my copy of the book!
