That is truly amazing.  That is the pattern I bought the book for, and now I have some real-life inspiration to make it.  The colour is perfect.  Very buttery indeed.  Love it!

I am constantly in awe of the talents of serious knitters, and always see projects and think "I wish I could knit like that," but this is literally my favorite knitted project I've ever seen!  I may have to dust off my needles and practice!

Congratulations on a fabulous job!  It makes me want to read Jane Austen novels....

Thank you, everyone, for all of the kind remarks.  It makes the knit that much more special, to me anyway.  Thanks!

I took it to my local knitting group and it was adored by all, and I think there are quite a few ladies there who plan on knitting it now.  I was unsure about it, like a lot of you, but it well worth the effort.

And just to let you now, between Mid-April (when I started) to the end, there was a three, maybe even a four week period when I couldn't work on the Bed Jacket because we moved from Iowa to Georgia (and all the hectic, stress that comes with it).  So I hope those considering it will take that into account, you can complete it fairly quickly.

Stunning!  Absolutely stunning!  I don't even know you and I'm so proud of you.  That's incredible that you started it and finished it so quickly.
