lafemmedramatique - The halter bits are a bit scanty that is why I twisted the straps.  It helps lock 'em in place pretty well.

Also, I've had a few requests for a tutorial and when I get home tomorrow, I will post one.

oh my goodness this is so cute! i'm going to the charity store tommorrow for a book to alter and i am so going to have to pick up a huge summer-y mans shirt to try this! the idead for the leeves for the halter is great! - no worries about raw edges  Cheesy hurrah! thanks for posting this  Smiley

I hope this is clear enough!  Let me know if you have any questions.

I forgot in the tutorial, but I added elastic in the back.  It was trial and error to see what amount would keep the dress in place.

I can't wait to go to work tomorrow to scavenge the clearance rack, I'm sure I can find a bunch of shirts cheap. I love this idea because none of the summery dresses I've tried on fit my chest and bottom at the same time, with your tutorial I can just make my own  and it will have to fit. So thanks!
