Hi,i live in Unity , Maine and have been here for 24 years, close by college..go by it every day..i have lived in maine most of my life and i so love it here, the winters are something but have been through it many years, the last 2-3 days have been sooooo hot and humid..that i don't care for..I love crafts, i do alot of x-stitching..

In Bangor there's a place up the hill from the library called One Lupine Fiber Arts that I've been meaning to check out.  Also somewhere in Orono is Fiberphilia, which is supposed to be epic.  Unfortunately I don't think there's much for crafty stores outside of that.  I would love to have a paper crafts store that's not dedicated solely to scrapbooking.

Has anyone been going to the artisan's markets in downtown Bangor on Thursdays?  I think there's one left next week (August 2).

Just thought I'd add to this since I'm from Maine, too!
I was born in Presque Isle and lived in Limestone for 25 years, up until a couple months ago.
I now live in Portland.  It's been an adjustment, but I love it here, and can't imagine why I didn't make the move many years earlier!

I will be moving back to Maine next month! I grew up in South Bristol and Boothbay Harbor. Have lived in Portland too. For the past few years I've been in Boston, but I hate it here. So, back to Boothbay I go, until I figure out my life. : )

I am a new member to Craftster...tho, not a new person to the board - just never joined. I am in Warren and work in Rockland with my husband and one year old son.

I would love love love to start up a Maine craft group - some friends and I had one going here in the Midcoast but we disbanded due to friends moving out of the area.
