Hi!
I've been noticing a lot of posts from people from Maine. I love Maine!

I grew up in Belfast, and then lived for two years in Limestone when I went to the magnet school. Right now I'm in Maryland, and thinking about moving back home. It's just too hot here. (Of course, I said the same thing when I was living in New York, too, so maybe it's just me.)

Anyway, if anyone is from Maine, moving to Maine, used to be from Maine, I'd love to hear about it!
Go on! Make me homesick!

I am in Maine, but I wont make you homesick. The weather is horrible right now, it is getting cold and I know it will just get colder. I dont like winter, but I love Maine the rest of the seasons. Heating bills will be outragoues this year, so I am saving money by making Christmas gifts. Thank god for craftster and everyones creative crafty ideas!!

I lived in Eliot and Bridgton before my family moved to Yarmouth, Maine when I was 4, and that's where I grew up and went to school. I now live down in Massachusetts, but my parents are still up in Yarmouth, so I go up there fairly often (though not often enough for my mom)!

The weather isn't much different here in MA than up in ME; in fact, when we got 6" of snow here in MA last weekend, my parents got nothing up in ME!

*sigh* I miss snow. I love winter, and hate it when it's hot out. Here in Maryland it's still warm enough that I usually skip wearning a jacket...

I know what you mean about the heating bills! My mom used to keep our house chilly enough at night (to save money), that I would wake up in the morning and be able to see my breath!

Congratulations! You'll love Maine!
I am in the process of deciding to move back home for a while, as well. So I may not miss my snow after all. Yay!
Plus I would be closer to my favorite yarn suppliers....
(I like Bartlett yarns)

bartlett yarns are good - that's a pretty good reason for you to move back to maine.

I am not from Maine (I mean, are you ever, unless you were born here? Wink)
but I lived in Orono while going to school for 3 years, and this past year I moved to Wiscasset for my teaching job. I love Maine, but prefer the mountainous western Maine, or the balance of living in close proximity to Bangor, to coastal Maine where I currently live.
It's good to know there are so many crafty folks on here and in Maine!
