Even Martha Stewart is getting in on it:  T-shirt Bag

I don't like that the bag has raw edges, but an old t-shirt could easily be converted into the Singlet Style Shopping Bag, recycling even more!

There aren't any raw edges, they are all enclosed.

In the video, they left the neck and sleeve edges raw.  That's the part I didn't like.

What a fantastic bag...I love it! Can't wait to make one for myself and everyone I know!

Thanks for sharing

I finished the 14 I had in the works for Christmas "giftbags", only to realize that I need at least 3 more (which means I will probably make 5 more).  So here are the 14 (I already posted one, so really I have made 15 of them), all without pockets, because none of the people getting these would use the pocket (nor would I) so there was no reason to add extra work.
All folded up

And now the individuals.

Sorry the pictures are so big!  The ones that don't have a corner folded down to show the inside is because the lining is just a boring old solid color.  They are kind of wrinkly, but there's no reason to iron them now, since Christmas is still over a month away.

These are very nice.  I wish I could find the time to finish the five I have cut out.  I really like the sewing machines and the polka dots.

It is indeed sewing machine fabric, I love it, it makes me very happy.  I also made a sewing machine cover with it!

Brilliant.  I set myself a goal a while back to make enough shopping bags so that I never need to bring another plastic one into the house but so far I'm failing miserably.  Now seeing your wonderful bags I have re-newed determination.  Everyone who gets one of your bags at Christmas are very lucky Cheesy
