I saw thing on designer guys awhile back and always wanted to try. So i decided to make something for my friend, i made up teh stencil and had a piece of glass ready...silly me should of found the etching cream first. I went to Eckersley today and it turns out they dont sell it because its to corrosive. Grrr does anyone know of somewhere in Austrailia where i can get this stuff?
I would order online, but i don't have a credit card

So I got my armor etch in from Joann.com... I came home from work and there it was... I didn't have any glasses for I ran to WalMart came home and got busy... all while I should have been sleeping, lol. Anyways.

This was a 1 dollar glass(well actually a vase), a tester.

Then I bought 2 sets of glasses, each containing 4 glasses, I still need to go the next set. They were about $2.50 for the set, gotta love a great deal.

The pictures are blurry not the actual frostings, although I didn't really get straight lines on the ends, damn non working tape.

I think the vase is my favorite, lol. The set is for a friends birthday...maybe, lol.

i hosted a dinner for some new Teach For America teachers last week. Not having a complete set of glassware, i used old salsa jars we had lying around and etched their names into them, with "TFA 05" on the back. Presto! Cute glassware for the dinner and a party favor!

oh and it LIES when it says 5 minutes - my ass! Leave it on for 20.

This is all very cool.  My mom is a teacher and used to make glasses with this stuff for her whole homeroom at the end of the year.  Each kid would get one with their name etched on.  thanks for reminding me of this!
