I've been wanting to put a bulletin board in my craft room. I figured a simple trip to Lowe's will fix it. After wandering the aisles I ended up in the plumbing department and I found this there. I thing it has something to do with ventilation? Perfect size and a ridged top to support a way to hang it. Kids and I cut out some video game magazines to make the magnets. I just grabbed some extra self adhesive linoleum tile. Stuck it on and glued a magnet to the back. A lot of explanation for a really easy project.

It was 4.95.
This might sound funny but bring a magnet with you.
Some things you think will work, won't.
I had to go all through the store to find something magnetic.

I love magnetic bulletin boards. I have 4 up in my computer/craft room. They are kind of industrial and modern looking. Mine are just steel sheet metal. You can also hang them by nailing a hole in the upper corners with a large nail.

I also buy the magnetic tape. Cut off small pieces and place a piece in each corner on the back pictures and put them on the boards that way. Nothing shows from the front and They are easily moved also.

You are right to suggest taking a magnet with you because not everything in the hardware store will hold a magnet even if it looks like it will.
