THis is my first post.  I feel guilty using all the creative stuff here and not contributing!  However, I can't figure out how to post!  Here goes:  felt a 100% wool sweater by washing it in hot hot water then dry it in the dryer on hot.  I used the same directions for the tyvek bag for the zipper and sides.  The applique is felt and oil cloth.  I'm making these long now to hold knitting needles.

Nice job! I've been making little felted purses - I really like the fact that I can knit them up quickly and I'm done but the felting! I've been needle felting designs on them using wool roving - also using the roving to felt little buttons that I can use to close the bag. Oh yeah, I've actually got a picture!

I think these bags are so cute! I have been wanting to try felting for a while now. I saw some cool ideas around Christmas in Organic Style magazine- They made stockings out of wool blankets.
You are inspiring me to go out and give it a try!
I will have to research wool roving, I have never heard of it.

WrdyGrrl I love your bag, is the design that you felted on with the needle spun yarn or is it unspun?
