Michaels was having their $3 tshirt sale, so I picked up 4 extra large shirts.  I've only used 3 so far, so here's the results!!
(The duck is covering my face cause in every single picture I had the stupidest expression :S )
Original Tshirt:

Shirt:

Dresses:
http://

Each piece is made of one tshirt.  For the dresses, the bust part was made out of the sleeves of the shirt, and the skirt part was the rest.  Up close the seams kinda suck.  I've never had any formal lessons for sewing, and the only things before this that I've made have been flannel pj pants.
comments and suggestions very very welcome!

one last thing, I'd like to thank everyone who posted their finished projects!!!  I got the inspiration to make these from you guys!
In fact, my next project involves a hideous thrift store find and the addition of a zipper... wish me luck!

extra info, since some questions have been raised about what size shirt to use.  I'm 5'2" and ~115 lbs, and I used XL shirts.  If you want the skirt part to be more flowy, use a wider shirt.

I love seeing everyone's creations!

That is brilliant! I want to do that now. Could you tell me how you cut up the shirt for the first dress?

All of those rock. Good for you for having the foresight to see something and then actually make something from those t-shirts.

Do you think you could make a tutorial for the top? Or just explain what you did? I love it.
