Somehow, I have managed to make my kids as Zakka obsessed as I am.  My daughter really liked my sons Mootah, so I had to come up with a She-Mootah for her.

This one is done using my hand-dyed and handpainted fabrics, but I've just scored some japanese fabrics and some new kaffe fasset, so I think I may have to make a couple more.  The details are on my blog if anyone is interested.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zakka

this is how wikipedia defines zakka, but i'm not sure that catches the full sense of it.  i think it has expanded to included a group of crafters who make cool, kitschy, idiosyncratic things.  everything from echino fabric bags to plushy monsters.

i first saw it at www.zakkacraft.com

I think just about everything everyone makes on this forum is zakka, then.  Everything I have seen posted here is cool and kitchy.  It's definitely not your regular craft show, and I think that's great.
