Amigurumi Inspired Farmer's Market Tote

Ok, drum roll please.... Here is my entry: Inspired by some of the great amigurumi I have seen here, I made some flat fruit and veggies on a crochet bag lined with an awesome rooster fabric so it doesn't stretch when it is used again and again at the farmer's market this summer. The strap is also the rooster fabric so that it will not stretch out if I fill the bag full of apples or corn!

closer up:

Corn (personal favorite):

Carrot:

Apple:

Blueberry:

The back of the bag is a nice mesh pattern so you can see through to the cool rooster fabric:

And here is a close up so you can see the strap and fabric:

Thank you very much for your comments. I started this yesterday afternoon believe it or not! It all came together very quickly and easily. I did not have a pattern at all, and I am very proud of the first bag I made without a pattern. I surely could not have done this without seeing and being inspired by all the neat stuff I see on the forum. Grin

I love your tote!  The little veggies are darling...and what a good idea to do a more open design in the back so the roosters can peak out. Smiley

I LOVE what you did with the veggies on this bag.  What GREAT idea and a wonderful way to get kids into veggies and healthy food too.  Your local farmer's market should commission you to make a bunch to see sell at the market.  Way to go!
