I've been meaning to learn how to do that. I really like the 2nd one, that is sort of open with the chinese/african/celtic knots. Usually hemp macrame is so big and chunky, that one is delicate.

oh my i'm in love with the 3rd one.  its soo beautiful.  i told my mom i wanted to learn macreme so for christmas she is buying me some hemp string. i can't wait.  if i may ask how did you learn? do you use any particular websites? and how did you make the 3rd one? i'd love a tutorial to try it out!  really nice stuff!

Those are some pretty useful site...i learned way back int he day though..once you know the basic knots you can sort of up grade them to bigger and better things..

ok this was hard drawing this stuff.....well the first thing you need to know is how to do a half knot.....thats the only knot used in this..and you need 8 total string..or just 4 long ones tied together...

okay take any 2 and just make a half knot, do the next 2, and then the next
put a bead on the middle cords
now take the strings from the last knot you did and just do the half knot around that one...
reapeat*
simple uh?

to make it look even make sure when you do the knots around the bead that the string is either being brought in front in in the back ..no mixing, it will make it look sloppy
