I'm having a problem with PMs again:
(I blurred out the actual PM)

There's a blue line that is supposed to be the "Powered by SMF 1.1.4 | SMF 2006-2007, Simple Machines LLC  " from the bottom of the page showing up smack in the middle of the PM.

Why didn't it just shove the PM to a new page?

Is it doing that repeatedly or just with one load?

Have your restarted your browser & computer today?

Howdy all. For those having problems with stuff showing up in the wrong parts of the page, can you list out exactly what browser and version of te browser you are using. And whether you are on Mac or Windows. I'll try to replicate the problem if I know that information.

got it.
Okay, I run both Ubuntu (Feisty Fawn) and Windows XP.  Both are using the most recent version of Firefox.

The spacing problem happens on both OSes, and happens whether I restart Firefox, reboot the whole OS, or refresh/clear my cache/cookies.

I can even go back to the page I posted about back in August and it still looks the same with the weird spacing.

Leah, if you have access to logging in as me, I really wouldn't be bothered by it if you wanted to look at it first hand.  (and then watch, no errors for you)

*edited to add* Oddly enough, now that I have 4 new PMs pushed onto a new page, the previous page (where the spacing issue was) is now fixed.

Thanks for the details annaonthemoon! I normally use a Mac/FireFox but I also have a PC with Windows XP so I'll try to replicate it there.

Can you tell me what percent of the time is it funky for you versus normal looking?

It's rare. the last time the PMs were funky looking was when I posted that image back in  late August.  I think it has something to do with the length of the PMs, and the number of PMs that it shows per page.  I'm not a code monkey though (only a part time code gibon;)) so I could be wrong.

I'm using a Mac running OS 10.4 (Tiger) using Firefox, and when trying to access the Craftopedia tonight, I'm getting a 404 error.

Today in my office (around 11:30 am CST), which features a Dell using MS Explorer, the little arrows that allow you to scroll through the featured projects wouldn't work.  Basically, any new frame ws just mint green with no picture loading unless I'd hit refresh.  What about adding a "see all" link for the featured projects?

As always, Leah, you are the crafty web goddess.

Pieces,

Joanne

Craftopedia isn't accessible right now.  Sorry about that!  (it's offline from our "crash of 2007" http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=191746.0)  Leah is working on getting it back up, though. Smiley

I've heard of your other problem before.  Do you have the most recent version of MS Explorer on your office PC?  Craftster doesn't seem to like older versions of browsers and some of the mid versions for some reason.
