I made a giant Chinese take-out box for some biscuits I'm bringing to my boyfriend's house.

Here it is with the top open:

Top closed:

And the inside complete with yummy pepper biscuits:

The character on it says "Black Pepper".  It's made of posterboard cut and folded to shape... it took an entire sheet!

The top of the box is  8x6 inches, and it's about 5 inches tall.

It's just a big sheet of plain posterboard.  Nothing fancy, but if you wanted to make one prettier you could glue wrapping paper to the poster before you cut and glued it.

Wow, that's awesome! I just posted in the thread for the biscuits, and had to check this out, too...
These would make the cutest holder for baked goods you give at Christmas and things. When you say poster board, do you mean those huge things we use for school projects??

Yup, the big 22x27 (I think that's the size...) sheets.  Or you could make smaller boxes out of regular-sized stiff paper.

Lovely! I am wondering where you found such a large pattern? I'd love to make some of these for my mother's birthday gift (her 50th, and we're celebrating at a great family Chinese restaraunt). Great job!!

I drew the pattern by looking at the shape of a smaller box and doubling all the measurements.
