I saw a multiple braids scarf at a shop a few months ago, for the over-priced amount of 120 dollars... yeik...

After doing a lot of thinking, and multiple trial and error I finally managed to reproduce the same braiding....   And, I got to make it the colour I really wanted it (the original one was white)... The one in the shop wasn't chunky at all, but I'm in the midst of a love affain with chunky knits, so, here it is...

It was such a quick rewarding knit! And it's one of my most complemented FO so far... I just wanted to share it!

This is a detail of how the ends look, I finished it in a rib.

There are a few more pictures and details posted in my blog, http://jimenita.wordpress.com/

Ok... well some of you requested a pattern for this scarf, so I made one and posted it here:

I hope it's clear, this was my first time attempting to write some sort of pattern. If any of you knit this, I'd love to see the finished result!

Gorgeous scarf!  I really like the cable pattern.  Any chance that you'd be willing to share it?

Also, I'm curious what type of yarn you used.  And is it more the orchid purple-y color or the maroon?

Great job!

Thanks...! About the colour, it's more like the purpleish one when it's out on the sunlight, but inside the house it does look a bit more like in the other pictures.

Of course I'd be willing to type up the pattern for it! I'm going for lunch now with my grandmother, but I'll write it this afternoon!

Pretty.  What kind of yarn is that?  Looks soft and fuzzy, and I bet it will keep you toasty warm.  Smiley
