Well this isn't actually my craft but I saw it at my sister's and thought it was a really cute idea. My sister and her little girl had lots of fun painting their hands with cheap acrylic paint, then printed them onto canvas. They then added a body and some extra details on the wings, signed and dated it, and hey presto, a pretty memento of time spent together!

that is so cute! I never thought of a butterfly using handprints. I work with kids, so I've done lots of handprint art, but I'll have to try this one!

This is lovely! My boyfriend's uncle did a similar thing, but with his and his two boys' feet, which didn't make a butterfly exactly. It was a present for their mum, which I thought was adorable. I especially love the butterfly though.

How sweet is that. My brothers and I did something like this for our Mom as part of a gift, but it wasn't nearly that organized or pretty, hehe.

This is a beautiful idea. You could make one every year on their birthday and keep it in a scrap book and later on you could see how much they had grown. Wonderful butterfly.

Heee, we used to do that at school! It's really nice to be reminded of it (and in such prett colours, too - mine used to smudge into an unattractive slimy brown).
